Partly a commercial site selling cycle touring holidays

You can generate a National Geographic style map of anywhere
in the world here, at a range of scales - nothing big enough
to be useful for on-the-road navigation, but decent for
pre-tour route plotting.
Sorry, I find this one irresistable, though utterly irrelevant.
It's a big download - 3 MB or more, so don't bother with
it if you're connected somewhere slow and expensive. You
need speakers if you're to make sense of it.
The same applies to this - though the download is a little
smaller. Also requires speakers or some noise-emitting device
to be appreciated.
